WRECK TIJUANA TRACK SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 26. The famous Tijuana race track, playground of the West from 1916 to 1929, is in the hands of a wrecking crew. A large force of Mexican laborers went to work last week leveling the structure. Grandstand and adjoining buildings are being torn apart and the lumber moved away to be used in construction of government warehouses and other needed edifices. In late years the Tijuana grandstand has stood idle, with a few Mexican families housed in its offices, a gaunt monument to the sport of kings. Tijuana served its purpose it brought racing back to the coast. It resisted storm, flood, fire, revolution and other difficulties, giving way in the end to the palatial offspring, Agua Caliente.
