Fair Jesters Good Trial Earns Him Crack at Derby TORONTO. Ont., June 1.— This mornings trial of the three-year-old Canadian-bred Fair Jester, from the stable of II. C. Hatch, was entirely to the satisfaction of trainer Cecil Howard and it has been decided that the colt is entitled to a crack at the rich Kentucky Derby to be decided at Churchill Downs a week from Saturday. Fair Jester will leave here on Monday evening accompanied by two other members of the Hatch stable as companions. Jockey Bobby Watson, Canadas leading saddlesmith. will pilot the Hatch colt in the Derby and will entrain for Churchill Downs on Tuesday evening. Fair Jester was sent a mile this morning in 1:40.-,, galloping out the nine furlongs in l:54«r,.
