Pronto Don Favored in Mile And Half McConnell Memorial WESTBURY, L. I., N. Y., June 26.— The Hayes Fair Acres Stables Pronto Don from Du Quoin, 111., with Benny Schue in the sulky, will be a favorite in the final mile and one-half dash of the David H. McConnell Memorial trot at Roosevelt Raceway tomorrow night. A field of eight horses will go postward in the final as the Saunders Mills Bang-away and the Hecama Stables Blitzen Up withdrew at the eleventh hour. Blitzen Up is staked at Laurel. Pronto Don, an easy winner in the qualifying heat over the mile route in 2:03.4 will start from the No. 5 post while Silver Riddele, who sizzled in 2:02.1 last week, will start from the No. 2 post with Clint Hodgins up. The rest of the field will find Lord Steward on the rail, Dama Dee in the No. 3 spot. Roy S., Peter Abbey, Malcom and Hadley Hanover.
