RACING AT ASCOT PARK TO CONTINUE. Los Angeles, Cal., January 9. Though the , crusaders have not diminished their efforts, there is 110 immediate danger that racing at Ascot Park will be stopped. The Los Angeles County supervisors have voted down a motion to instruct the district attorney to prepare a county ordinance against gambling, the same to include the bookmaking at Ascot Park. The motion was beaten by a vote of 3 to 2 and lias been so enrolled on the county records. The result of the vote was pleasant news to the horsemen and has had a quieting effect. Many stables had already shipped north and others were making preparations to do likewise.
