Fred Bent, away badly, closed a big gap and was going like a cyclone at the end. Gerolette showed superior early speed, but failed to stay. Merry-go-round suffered from crowding at the start and had a rough journey on the inside, but was gaining rapidly at the end. Bannock Belle, a slow beginner and outpaced for the first half, closed up rapidly and, jn a whirlwind finish, landed an easy third. Beknlghted was a forward and game contender throughout. Jake Sanders lacked early speeil and was never dangerous, but looks in grand form. Wexford loomed up well midway of the stretch. Equorum Rex disliked the cuppy going. Ramus, badly messed about, should have been closer up. Briarthorpe retired at the end of a good six furlongs. Overweights Ramus. 1 pound.
