Loricate, away well in motion; liked the soft going and, although tiring near the end, won witli plenty in reserve. Budweiser acted badly at the post and repeatedly broke through the barrier, but ran well, closed a big gap and, under strong handling, finished fast. Baywood saved ground when coming into the stretch and showed improved form. Pinsticker, practically left at the post, closed a tremendous gap and would probably have won witli an even start. Stand Pat had no mishaps. Paul Clifford was carried Into the deepest going by Freeman on Investor, which ruined his chances. He ran away two miles after the finish. Went to post at 2:40. At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won driving; second easily. Beraay broke well in motion, forced the pace and, when in the lead, stood a hard drive resolutely and lasted just long enough. Lucy Marie ran in much Improved form and, with a few more races, may reverse this running with the winner. Black Burn loafed for the first quarter and lost much ground by going wide on the stretch turn, but finished with a rush and beat out Mamie R. The latter ran fairly well. Black Band showed speed, but was taken Into the worst going. The others were never serious factors. Scratched 5941C Round Dance, 113. Overweights Mamie K.. lj pounds; Glad Pirate, lj. Captain Bob. favored by the soft track and a good ride, followed Collector JessBp closely to the stretch bend, where he was taken out in the good going, finished fast and won witli plenty in hand. Collector .Tessup showed fine speed, but was made much use of and tired near the end. Novena ran a good race, lasting better than usual. Macbetli began- slowly and suffered from slight interference. Lieber ran forwardly for the first quarter, but was taken back and moved up again on call on the stretch turn and, finishing witli a grand rush, wore down de Reszke with consummate ease and won going away. De Reszke chased Ben Hodder for the first three-quarters, then flashed into the lead apparently an easy winner, but could not "withstand Llebers rush. Horseradish, poorly ridden, but a good colt today, suffered from much interference on the first turn and went wide for the entire trip, but held Ben Hodder safe in the final drive. The latter quit as usual after a good display of speed, and is overrated. Harmakis, well handled, was saved from the early pace to the stretch, where he moved up with a sudden rush and only had to canter through the last furlong. Ruth W. forced the pace in the early stages and saved much ground by hugging the inner rail fcr the entire trip, but was weakly ridden at the end. Rather Royal was a smart factor throughout, lost considerable ground by going wide, but finished fast and gamely. Dromio had much the best start and ran in improved form. Sincerity Belle was poorly ridden. Colonel White was all in a tangle at the start and was eased up when his case appeared hopeless.
