Lou M. was rated along behind the leaders for a mile and a half, then moved up and wore Harpoon down on the far turn and was only cantering at the end. Harpoon ran a good race for him and galloped Tapiola into defeat in the first mile, but had nothing left when the winner challenged. Little Wally was under restraint for the first mile and made a determined effort when entering the homestretch, but tired under a drive. Iten Fonso ran next to the outside fence for the entire trip. Frances H. won because she was best handled, saved ground when entering the homestretch, where she came through next to the inside rail while the others all went wide, and finished fast. Arthur Rosenfield finished well and outgamed Approbation in the final drive. The latter cut up while at the barrier and was on the outride all the "way. Airship outran the others all the way and, setting a fast pace, opened up a winning lead on the far turn, but was hard ridden at the end to stall off Lucy Young. The latter was on the outside for the entire trip, was closing at he end and would probably have won with riders reversed. Thespian disliked the going and ran a good race. Pat Bulger went fairly well and should score soon. Mint Boy ran well to the stretch, but failed to stay. Seemingly, Meadowbreezc is in poor form. The latter ran a good race and fought It out gamely when it came to the final drive. Envoy was crowded back on the backstretcli, but rushed to the leaders while rounding the turn into the homestretch and Was a game contender at the end. Yorkshire Lad was much used in racing Bellindian into defeat in the first hair and tired under a drive, but held on resolutely. Gus Heldorn ran an excellent race under his high weight. The latter was always well up and came fast and gamely in the last furlong. Fonsoluca, outrun In the early stages, closed a big gup and finished with .1 rush. Robin Hood showed the most early speed, bnt quit cold when Cascine caught him. Reticent wheeled when the barrier went up and was left, but ran and closed up very fast in the last quarter. Father Tallent ran a bad race and can do better.
