Plater, away fully in motion, raeed AAhorler into subjection and. although badly handled through the stretch, outlasted Hannibal Bey. The latter began slowly and had to go wide into the stretch, but finished fast and was unlucky to lose. AVhorler ran a good five furlongs before tiring. Schoharie had a rough trip. Fancy Dress and Marvel P. quit badly when called on strongly and both can do much better. Electric Spark made up ground and finished well. Scratched 59014 Awakening, 91; 50050 Enverite. 108. Hashed into a long lead with ease and was only cantering through the last furlong. Glad Pirate put up a sparkling performance, began slowly and finished with a grand rush. St. Cloud was caught in a jam, forced to go wide, then finished well, but may be overrated. Lucy Marie went well. Mamie K. ran in improved form with blinkers on. Fanny Marks showed fine speed and will do better when more familiar with racing. There was a jam on the first turn which the last seven to finish suffered much from. Whlppoorwill followed close up for the first half and made a determined effort in the stretch, but was not good enough. Novena hung on gamely under a hard drive and outlasted Dont Ask Me. The latter ran a good race for a first out in a long time and will improve. The others had scant chance in such company. King Ellsworth showed sudden and unexpected improvement, forced the early pace and was a fast ami game going second. Monaco Maid hung on well in the final drive and outlasted Little Scout. The latter began slowly and moved up well under keen urging, but tired unexpectedly in the last furlong. Tartan ran a bad race. Mr. Jack showed early speed. The race was run in a light shower.
