Supreme Court was shuttled to the rear at the start, but gradually overhauled the leaders, scoring witli a rush at the end. Eleven Bells, also crowded at tlie start, closed a big gap into an easing up second. Sacredus displayed superior early speed and appeared all over the winner up to the final sixteenth. Goldfield steadily improved his position, running extra well. Nonle had a rough journey and was never dangerous. HIp-pounx loomed up on the last turn, then retired. Saintolat, away slowly and carried wide on the turns, finished with a lielated rush, was best and is a good looker. Spring Ban made up a lot of ground from an Indifferent start. Governor Davis, badly Interfered with early, finished like a shot. Chief Wlttman tired In the closing drive. Mid-mont displayed superior early speed, hut was excessively urged Into a wide gap and tired. Frolic ran lioorly. Southern Lady was evidently short and retired after an early display of speed. Royal Rogue, away well and luckily placed, made an overanxious and premature run 011 the last turn, which beat him in the closing drive. Stirling Towers forced the early pace and stood a game stretch drive. Mogregor, away poorlv, closed a big gap and is in grand form. The latter,. away poorly, quickly got Into forward contention, but went wide on the last turn and, coming with a belated end rush, was best. Princess Titania tired after five furlongs of early strenuous contention with the winner. Romalne loomed up well on the last turn, but went wide, losing much ground, then finished well. Byronerdale, suddenly improved, maintained a lucky position close behind the stiff pace to the stretch, where he came along and made good on the outside in bewildering style. Critical, after trailing far in tlie rear for half the journey, moved up rapidly and got into a fast going second in the last stride. Ed Sheridan, on the : outside, forced the pace for seven furlongs and then stood the closing drive gamely. Lerida, badly messed about, was a prominent and game contender throughout. Esherin dropped out after going a good six furlongs and her race should be thrown out. The others were beaten off. Head Dance secured a Hying start and stole a winning lead on the first turn, was sent along and forced a sizzling pace and won out luckily in a terrillc drive. New Mown Hay, away poorly, gradually improved her position on the extreme outside, lost considerable ground on the turns and was badly messed about, but finished last and nailed the favorite in the last stride for second place. Toupee, away very badly, lost much ground on tlie first turn and moved up like a flash on the far turn, then went very wide and, finishing like a cyclone, was unable to get up and was given a bad ride. Dargin displayed brilliant speed and unexpected stamina from start to finish. Beau Ormonde showed good early speed, but dropped out after going a fast six aud a half furlongs aud is Improving. St. George. Jr. was right there for six furlongs.
