BUTLER AGAIN APPLIES FOR DATES. New York February 3. James Butler, owner of the Empire City track at Yonkers, has made another application to the Jockey Club for dates. The application Is similar to that which was denied last year. No Improvements have been made at the Yonkers track, but Mr. Butler says he Is ready to place the track and transportation facilities in acceptable condition as soon as he is assured that he can hold a meeting licensed by the State Racing Commission and sanctioned by the Jockey Club. What action the Jockey Club will take on the matter this year is problematical. If the State Racing Commission grants a license the Jockey Club must allot dates. If dates are awarded they will probably be in August, during the meeting at Saratoga. It does not appear that there is any other time available.
