The latter showed his usual great speed and sprinted away from the leaders on the turn Into the homestretch, but was tiring through the last hundred yards. Jack Dolan, given tho benefit of a good ride, ran a superior race at the weights and had to stand a hard drive at the end to stall ofT Lucy Young. The latter finished fast. Floral Kins was interfered with at the start, where he was crowded far back and again on the turn out of the backstretclf, where he was put against the fence when Austin attempted to take him through, on the inside and his race is not to be considered. Mayor Johnson ran in suddenly improved form, was an active contender throughout and should win soon. The Ram ran a good race and suffered from slight interference.
