Yachting Girl, after being "placed" for the first half, went to tlie front in the run down the backstretch and, opening a winning lead, was well in hand all of the last quarter. Flying Charcoal, away tangled up and badly outrun In the early stages, closed a big gap and finished with a rush on the outside. PlUer dropped out of the running on the far turn, but came again in the stretch run and outgamed Algonquin in the final drive. Dmigannon was a triile lame wlien going to the post, ran poorly and is not near as good as she was last winter. Algonquin ran well to the stretch and finished gamely. . Scratched G0430 Marlin. Light was rated along for the first mile and a half, moved up with a rush on the far turn while going the last time around and, outgamirig Double, got up in the last fifty yards. Double raced Miss Nannie L. and then Helgerson Into defeat and hung on gamely under punishment. Helgerson ran well and outgamed Little Elkin when it came to the final drive. Morris made two or three runs with the latter and he might have" heen a sharp contender had his rider used better judgment. Custus ran a good, gaine race and was a contender at all stages of the trip, had to stand a challenge from New Amsterdam and Bank Holiday and outlasted the last named under a furious drive. Bank Holiday appeared in line fettle when going to the post, has taken on much flesh since her let-up and put up a capital performance. New Amsterdam was an active contender most of the way, but tired and tailed off in the last quarter. - Schoolmaster fell at the third jump and Ruths Rattler at the ninth. Charawlnd moved up fast when going to the sixth jump and then tired. Dr. Nowlln can do better. Scratched C0GS1 Oliver Me, 153. Lens ran like a high class colt, broke from the outside anil rushed to the leaders in the run around the far turn, where he raced Beau Brummel to defeat and, after stalling off challenges from Karama and Blue Dale, drew away as his rider pleased in the last eighth. Karama began slowly, but closed up with a rush on the far turn and made a challenge at the head of the homestretch, then tired at the end under punishment aud was driving hard to outlast Chamblet. The latter finished fast and gamely. Beau Brummel showed a good flight of speed for three furlongs aud then fell back. Judge Treen closed a big gap. Scratched 60429 Odd Trick, 115. Bisque began slowly, but closed a big gap and finished fast after having swerved into Liberty Mo and Foreigner at the eighth post and knocked the former off his stride. The latter was unwisely restrained early and was coming fast in the last eighth when too late. Belllndian was always outrun. The latter ran a good race, but lost ground by making a wide turn Into the homestretch. Telepathy was tiring at the end and was beaten for third place in the last stride.
