Myrtle H., after opening a big lead, seemed to tire momentarily, but rallied gamely and finally won going away. La Taranta got into second place early and stayed there, but was under a drive to outstay Rostof. The latter ran to his best form. Lanark closed a big gap and finished fast. The Huguenot was always in forward contention and, after passing Blissful midway of the stretch, gamely withstood a sharp challenge from Cabin. The latter was reserved early and made a wide stretch turn, but finished with a rush and was gaining at the end. Blissful ran a good race, but tired under punishment in the final drive. Cliolk Hedrick began slowly and tangled up, but finished with a rush. Money Muss ran a fast half, but tired from strenuous pursuit, of the winner. Laccne also tired in the stretch.
