Shenandoah was taken back and saved to the stretch, where he joined Dan McKenna and, after a drive for the entire length of the homestretch, witli both going to the extreme outside to get the best going, won drawing out. Dan McKenna ran an excellent race and would have won with better handling. J. C. Clem closed a gap and was doing his best at the end. Deuxtemps was outrun all the way with no apparent mishaps.
