Meuden, having a good outside start and clear sailing, was always in forward contention and finished well. Reba. running on the inside in deep going, was badly messed about, but going like a shot at the end. Saxonia, a slow beginner, came through on the inside and was shut off repeatedly and forced to pull up in the final sixteenth. Jill, away slowly, made up ground. Lord Rosslngton got away badly. Tanana hail no chance at the start and is a good looker. Weatherford is also better than his showing today indicates. Scratched iruerfano. 114; Lucy C, 111. Blackthorn found the going too dry for Ids best effort an 1. after close pursuit for seven furlongs, finally tired. Conger put up a moderately. good effort. Robert Mitchell showed the most speed for over six furlongs. Ten Oaks ran a bad race. Baker was sluggish and had no chance with a bad rider. Ralbert, from a flying start, ran lapped on the early pacemaker in the deepest going on the inside to the last turn, where he forged into a long lead, eventually scoring in a hard drive. Tocolaw broke slowly and trailed within striking distance of the leaders, loomed up on the inside when straightened for home and finished on the outside, fast wearing the winner down. St. George Jr. came along fast at the end and easily passed the tiring favorite. Dentschland set the pace for a half, then unexpectedly quit and ran a poor race.
