Dnchees Ollle ran to her best form, assumed the lead when Helgesen was ready and won with much in reserve. , Dresden showed the most early speed, saved much ground when turning Into the stretcli and outgamed Young Sater in the final drive. The latter tired after going a half, but held on gamely. Sioorhen, poorly ridden and suffering from interference, closed a big gap ar.d ran a good race. Mc.Tetta had a rough trip. Convolo, much tlie best was nearly thrown at the start, but moved up fast after going a quarter and came away with ease in the stretch. H. L. Frank forced a fast pace, raced Platoon into defeat nd gamely outstayed Black Pat. The latter, badly ridden and repeatedly swerving, was going fast at the end and, better handled, would have been second. Platoon, badly handled, was also a sufferer from interference, but ran far below ids best form. Overweights Platoon, 2 pounds. V y-vQ a Q THIRD RACE 1 Mile. Track record 1:40. Telegrapher broke well in motion, had clear sailing, showed the most speed all the way and held his own gamely in the final drive. Kittle Piatt, showing sudden recovery of good form, was a strong contender for the entire trip and, aided by a good ride, outgamed King Ellsworth through the last quarter. King Ellsworth was given a had ride and taken wide throughout, was going well in the last furlong and seemed the winner, but Helgesen messed him about badly. Callus almost falling off in the last quarter. King Abyssinia broke running and showed good speed for the first three-quarters, but tired thereafter. Kizil quit. Miss Liugard was cut down. Aggie Lewis ran well mid had no mishaps, but was not good enough. Captain Neroth ran a fairly good race. Hllee showed Ira-proved form and ran a good three-quarters. Dr. Hart ran poorly.
