Verandah ran well to the stretch, but tired from the fast early pace. Glen Gallant was outrun in the early stages, but went around 011 the outside and finished resolutely, gaining at every stride. Guiding Star, fresh and good, ran in reserve for the first half, then moving up and coming through the stretch with a line display of speed, won going away. Disobedient went away with a rush, but was taken back and followed Cousin Kate to the stretch, where lie moved up again, but tired after a brush with Guiding Star and will probably be greatly benefited by this race. Cousin Kate ran a very fast half, but was overweighted and tired in the stretch drive. Peter Paul went well and Plater ran a bad race. Lena J. was outrun all the way with no apparent mishaps. Marvin Neal closed a big gap, saved ground on the turn for home and linished fast and gamelv. Phoebus went well. Shunpike showed early speed, but failed to stay.
