Jake Ward followed the leaders closely to the stretch turn, where he made a close turn and stole a winning lead, getting home in a hard drive. Standard, away badly, closed a big early gap and, joining issue with the leaders in the stretch, was not quite able to get up. Tain OShanter had a good start and was well placed to the stretch, where he finished on the outside in the gutter. Kstella J. ran fonvardly and gamely throughdut. Lady Bimbo failed to stay. Ethel Abbott made up considerable ground. Bear Hunter ran poorly and likes stiffer going. Dora I. ran very badly in her own particular going. Golden Sunrise, from a flying start, won all the way comfortably. Pickaway, the only serious contender, was in nearest pursuit of the winner throughout and possibly was short. Ellin King, away liatfooted and badly messed about, finished a fast going third. Dr. Sherman went well, is coming around gradually and will do presently. Matt Hogan was unable to retain a good position at any stage and ills race should be thrown out. Haven Run was shut off early and never dangerous afterwards. Tony Faust, from a Jlylng start on the .outside, and with clear sailing., quickly ;ot into, the lead and set the pace to the stretch, where, after momentarily relinquishing his lead, he came again and got up in the last stride. Blagg, .seemingly unable to raise a respectable gallop in the early running, finally came through fast into a slight lead on the inside in the stretch but,- stumbling frequently, was headed out in a close finish. Mabel Hollander, poorly handled, w:is never dangerous and a beaten off third. Ray Egan showed brilliant early speed, but failed to stay.. Princess Tilania established a small lead at the start and set the pace fast throughout, scoring by a small margin after a terrific stretch drive. Corn Blossom, on the inside in the worst going, was a strenuous and close contender from start to finish and but for Journeying in the deep going would have won. A. Muskoday broke SI0WI3- and dropped far to the rear, where he trailed to the stretch, then finished like a eyelone and ran a grand race. Roloman had no mishaps and tired after a close six furlongs pursuit of the leaders. Dorado went well, but was outclassed here. Overweights Corn Blossom, 1 pound; Boloman, 1. Wee Lass ran in strenuous and close pursuit of the winner, but went wide on the turn, losing considerable ground, then put up a game closing struggle. Pclhain showed good early speed, but fnilel to stay. Judge, away liatfooted, was going well at the end. Celeres displayed early speed on the inside in bad going and was short. Magrane was badly messed about, however, running up and falling back In spots and, when apparently beaten badly, came again right at the end with unexpected speed. Briarthorpe dropped into third place by catching the others tiring badly at the end. Theo Case unexpectedly failed to stay after close attendance on the winner for seven furlongs.
