Hau?hty ran as if much the best, raced the early contenders into subjection and came away in the stretch with plenty in reserve. Lucullus, skillfully ridden and kept out of tfcc fast early pace, moved up gamely after going a half mile, but was not good enough. Bitter Hand was In the deepest going all the way and tired at the end. Arabelle showed speed, but tired as if short. Albemarle closed a big gap In the last quarter. Elksino broke running and showed the most speed for the first three furloucs, but tired in the stretch and scored a lucky victory. Wing Ting, much the best, refused to join the others at the start and was practically left, but saved ground when turning into the stretch, closed a big gap and would have won at a longer distance. Jardiniere went wide for the entire trip and finished well. Louise Whitfield, away forwardly, ran a good three furlongs before tiring. San Ardo suffered from interference soon after the start. Jack Young Iwat tiie barrier and, favored by the going, spreadeagled the others after going a half mile and won pulled to a canter. Lubin, practically left and beginning slowly, was hopelessly out of It for the first qmirter, but closed a tremendous gap in the last half and was going fast at the end. Stand Pat ran a good race, but found the distance a trifle far. Telegrapher, badly ridden and taken in the worst going, tired badly and unexpectedly after going a half. Dusky ran well to the stretch, but tired badly in the final sixteenth. Jack Itattlin was hard ridden for the entire trip and gamely outstayed Stump Town. The latter is a fast non-stayer and tired suddenly in the final strides after showing the most early speed. Baudillo and Falkland were practically left at the post. Young Sater suffered from crowding soon after the start and ran a good race. Investor was poorly ridden nnd taken wide on the turns and finished fast. Brimfull, away in a tangle, ran well, but tired in the final drive. Mary Prlmm showed good speed, but quit when hard pressed. Danseuse closed a big gap. Los Angeleno began with his customary slowness, but closed a tremendous gap In the last half and finished gamely. Dolinda was raced into exhaustion in following Thistle Do and tired near the end. George Vivian ran a good race. Thistle Do tired badly In the last quarter after havlug shown much speed.
