Elude, lucky and clear of Interference, forced the pace In the early stages and, after racing Scotch Dance into subjection, came away in the final furlong. Scotch Dance cut across sharply at the start, causing a jam, then showed the most early speed and lasted well ii the final drive. Jigger, favored by the going, ran for-wardly from the start and, better handled, would have won. Teddy was close up throughout. Sherrill ran a good race and was favored by raelng luck. St. Noel was shuffled back soon after the start and closed a gap. Platf was almost thrown at the start and had scant chance thereafter. Alma Gardla also suffered from the jam lit the start. Bottles, favored by the going and away well, was rushed into contention from the start and, after wearing down" Lady Arlnn in the first three furlongs, came away with plenty in reserve. BudHUI, sharply cut off soon after the start, liked the going, but was taken wide into the stretch and lost much ground, then finished fnst. Montalban was carried extremely wide into the stretch by Bud Hill, but finished with a tremeudous rush and would have been second in a few strides. Miss Llda ran a fairly good race. Harold D. ran a bad race aud seemed unable to stride freely In the going. Lady Arion showed early speed, but tired badly. Scratched 02915sFriction, 112; 62940 Binoiido, 100. Content ran as If best, wore down the leaders after going a half and seemed an easy winner on the stretch turn, lint tired suddenly under her heavy weight and had to be hard driven near the end, but won well in hand. Sister Frances forced a fast pace from the start, went, well for the fipt three-quarters and tired, but hung on well to the end, although swerving. Iiektime ran in much Improved form and was a prominent and game contender all the way. War Chief ran a fairly gcod race and was lucky. Class Leader closed a big gap in the Inst furlong of the stretch run. Itacatiara was well up all the way, but stilmbled badly and nearly fell at the last obstacle. Ziuda ran a dull race and had no mishaps. Golden Mineral disliked the going and ran a dull race. Hevolt tired in the last quarter. Minnehaha, turned sideways, wheeled at the start, stumbled and nearly fell, was far back in the first half, but closed a tremendous gap and, going fast at the end, was gaining on the winner and unlucky to lose. Proteus liked the going and ran well for the first three-quarters, but tired in the final drive. Cotillion saved ground all the way and came fast at the end. Bourbon News showed improved form. St. George Jr. ran a dull race. Keynote showed speed, but broke down after going three-quarters. Extol also pulled up lame.
