Forty thoroughbred yearlings were sold at Sheepshead Hay this afternoon for a total of 0,OT0, an average of 1906.sh51. The forty-seven catalogued were the produce of Baker and Gentry, Darnnby Place Stud, of Kentucky; Captain R. J. Hancocks Elleislie Stud, of Virginia, and others. Five were passed without receiving a bid and two were not shown. The highest price was ,500, obtained from L. A. Cella for the bay colt, out of Eolide, a full sister to the famous campaigner Lester. Jockey Frank ONeill was among the buyers. He paid ,300 for the fill-, out of Royal Approval, half sister to Ilelter Skelter. The summary: PROPERTY OF MESSRS.
