The Only AVay ran to his best form under perfect handling, was away well and clear of Interference for the entire trip and came away when called on, winning through the stretch as his rider pleased. Dalesman ran forwardly from the start and stayed well in the final drive. Arachne came fast in the last quarter and would have been second in a few more strides. Stillhunt began slowly, but gradually Improved his iiosition and ran a good race. Leo Bright had no mishaps and did the besH he could. Dr. Burch tired badly after leading for three-quarters. Lizzie McLean followed the early pace closely and, although suffering from interference, ran a good race and hung on well in the closing drive. Bensoniiurst, favored at tiie start, showed the most early speed and stood the final drive gamely. Joe Shields liegan slowly and, closing a big gap, finished going fast and is wortli remeniliering. Toppy Girl ran a fairly good race. Capitauo had to overcome a lot of Interference and ran a good race. Hector quit badly In the final quarter and seems in ioor form. Scratched 03107 Mill Song, 04. Stoddard was forced out of the course by Interference from Pirate, resumed the course, but unseated his rider after going over the sixtli jump, then was remounted and finished lu the time limit. Dunning fell heavily while leading at the fourth jump. War Chief got tangled up with McCIain when the latter attempted to rise and went down. Plra te went out of the course at the third j u in 1 1. Dainty Dame ran as if much the best, took the lead at once and, showing much the most speed, won all the way with plenty in reserve. Bitter Miss followed close up all the way, stood a hard drive gamely and outlasted Javanese through the final sixteenth. The latter was in close quarters most of the way and ran a good race. Bud Hill, away slowly, closed a good gap despite going wide and linished fast. Delia Thorpe quit badly in the last furlong. Redgauntlet broke greenly, but ran a fairly good race and can do much better. Anna Riiskln had no mishaps. ZIck Abrams ran a dull race. The latter was shuffled back soon after the start and again, suffered from interference on the stretch turn. Dudley, away poorly, ran a good race and was gaining at the end.
