Earl Rogers liked the cuppy going and outbroke and outpaced his opponents decisively. Delm6re, away badly, , closed a big gap into a fast going second. Sonoma Belle, nearly left, made up ten lengths on the leaders and was a fast going third. Lady Ellison, from a good start, lost ground at once, was poorly handled and never got into serious contention. Varietcs finished well. Ocean Spray, handicapped by the stiff going, got away poorly and closed a big gap. Evic Greene made up a lot of ground in the last six furlongs. Pure Pepper was skillfully ridden, trailed and was reserved in the rear for two miles, moved up in the last half and caught Oro tiring, just beating 1dm home in a lucky victory. Oro, excessively urged to keep up, met serious interference when Thistledale fell. at the Liverpool, also was crowded and pulling up when Hound Brook came to grief at the half, but for which he would have won off by himself. Melaniora showed a fine turn of speed for a mile and dropped Into a lucky third. Bound Brook appeared like winning when lie fell a half mile from the finish. Ilandzarra was quickly taken up and reserved under a terrific pull for a half mile, then moved up into the lead almost instantaneously when called on on the last turn and, finishing fast, won off, showing de-fided improvement. Far West maintained a forward position tthroughout, went verv wide on the turn and finished with a belated rush. Dolly Spanker, after trailing in the rear in the early running, closed ui like a shot in the last quarter and ran a good race, Nannie Hodge forced the pace to the stretch, where she quit and ran a very bad race. Kiamesha essayed to force he pace, but was shut off early and could never get up afterwards. Diamond Flush came fast when too late. Belle of Portland showed brilliant enrjy speed, but was outclassed. Tourenne outbroke the others and forced the pace and stood off Monforts challenge in the stretch, but for boring n-.it and impeding the latter was disqualified. Monfort unexpectedly kept well in the course. loomed up on fie last turn, trying to bore out, but was kept close to the inside and finally failed to get up after lelng carried out by Tourenne. J. C. Core, from a good start on the inside, was outpaced from the start and quit badly in the stretch under inadequate handling. Judge Post acted badly at the post and showed good early speed, but failed to stay and ran a bad race. Sallie K. was hopelessly outpaced. Corn Blossom trailed in the rear for six furlongs, then finished like a whirlwind, but failed to get up. Bryan held a good position from the start, loomed up on the last turn Jike the winner, but quit badly In the closing struggle. Preen was outrun from the start and, after going the first half, commenced to lose grouud rapidly. The Clown set a stiff pace for six fur-Jongs anil then tired. At post 2 minutes. Start fair. Won easily; second driving; third the same. Belle of Iroquois jumped into the lead at the start and won all the way from the Inadequately ridden Yorkist. The latter got away slowly and practically lost the race at the start, closed up steadily throughout and was going faster than the winner at the end, but swerving to the inside. Lady Vincent, nearly left, closed a big gap while running on the extreme outside all the way and earned third placs in the last stride of a cyclonic finish. Suada kept well up from the start and ran a good race. Vaqnero displayed superior speed, but swerved to the inside in the stretch and was pinned in closely for the last fifty yards. Beauclere made up much ground from a bad start. Sea Salt got away poorly and ran In close quarters to the stretch, where he was eased -up.
