Clique forced the pace for the first five furlongs with Oleasa, drew away under pressure in the last eighth and was driving to the limit at the end. Henry Ach raced forwardly throughout and was wearing the winner down at tlie finish. Orfeo, outrun in the early stages, closed, up resolutely after going to the outside when making the turn into the stretch. Oleasa showed brilliant speed for a half mile, but tired in the last quarter. Maggie Mackey and Doc Wallace pulled up sore. Ancient Witch closed a big gap. Scratched j3C0G Mamie Foster, 88. The latter, outrun for the first quarter," joined the leaders on the far turn, where she saved ground, squeezed through on the inside when making the turn into the stretch and stood the final drive gamely. French Empress ran well, but was on the outside all the way and lost ground when turning into the stretch. Melting broke well, but was used up In keeping pace with Hie winner. Exclamation ran well, but tired in the final drive. Lady Jocelyn set the early pace for Ive furlongs and then tired. Arthur Cummer was under restraint and fighting for his head for the first live furlongs, but failed to respond when called on. Bon Mot can do much better. Redwood II., outrun for the first half, worked his way up on the outside and. finishing gamelv under a drive, passed Ingolthrlft and Nuns Veiling in the last twenty yards. Iugolthrlft found an opening on the inside on tho. turn into the stretch and fought it out with Nuns Veiling all through the last furlong. Grace Curtis was used up in setting the early pace. Lady Carol broke slowly and was outrun all the way. Nuns Veiling raced with the winner to the stretch, then tired under pressure. Tickle finished with a rush, showed a great burst of sliced and was overhaulng the leaders at he end. La Londe broke well, but was on the outside of Charlie Eastman all the way and tired under a drive. De Pros race was below his best form. Scotch Plume was always outpaced.
