Don Irent was much the best and, favored by the going, got away badlv and was taken wide .throughout, but finished fast and gamely and won going away. Jay Ward, away in a good position, set the pace from the start, but tired slightly in the drive through the stretch. Miss Kitty was 6peedy and ran a good race. Lightburn tired after early prominence. Phlora, away well and given a good ride, showed a liking for the going and, assuming a long Jead at once, won all the way. Labor had a rough trip and was in close quarters in the last furlong, but finished gamely and but for the Interference would have won. Pirates Dance was a forward contender all the way and ran a good race. Floral Artist ran a winning race, broke In a tangle and trailed the others hooclessly out of it to the stretch turn, where he came fast and closed a big gap. Maureen ran a good race under bad handling. The Mate, away poorly, raced Into a contending position in the first quarter, but tired badly and ran far below his best form. Fast Flight ran a bad race. The latter showed the most early speed and a liking for the going and hold on well in the final drive. Granada, poorly handled and knocked back soon after the start, finished fast aft a wide turn into the stretch and should have been second. Nine ran a good race, but was allowed to swerve badly In the stretcli. Prosador is a bad racer and belongs elsewhere. Scratched 64141Alma Dufour, 107. Subador, well meant today, never left the result in doubt, assumed a long lead at once and won all the way with ridiculous ease. Dalesman ran a good race and was not equal to beating the winner, but would have been closer up but for stumbling at the last obstacle. Weirdacked speed in the first part of the race, but gradually wore down Ohio King and was an easing up third. Ohio King tired badly after reaching the stretch. Baveno was never a serious contender. Plautus was a close contender most of the way and, better handled, would have been third. Hubbard ran a bad race and can do much better.
