BIG CROWD SEES RACING AT WINDSOR. Detroit, Mich., September 3. Onlv one pronounced favorite won at Windsor today, but the large half-holiday crowd had no complaint to make. The well backed second choices that won caused the layers some uneasiness. In spite of the counter attractions in Detroit, the Windsor track drew a crowd that excelled that of the opening day and completely filled the grandstand and lawns. The race that attracted the most attention was the third on the card and Toots Mook, in view of her defeat of Charlie Eastman last week, was installed the choice and she flattered her backers by assuming a lead of three lengths after entering the stretch, where Fair Calypso caught her and from there on to the sixteenth post they were on even terms. Then Fair Calypso drew away, winning easily by a length with the favorite second and Granada third. Secret, in the last was the one successful favorite and he was doing his best at the end to stall off Cambridge, which had been trailing until on the stretch turn aud finished with a rush. The eastern division of the stable of W. T. Anderson arrived at the track this morning from Saratoga. Steeplechase jockey Brady arrived today from La-touia and will accept mounts during the meeting. W. II. Snyder, who has the contract on jockey Baird, has called the boy back to New York, declining to let him ride at Windsor. bookmaker Jim Davis was a visitor at the track today.
