STAKE RACES OF THE WEEK AT GRAVESEND. With two stake races of importance as star attractions the autumn meeting of the Brooklyn Jockey Club logins at Gravesend tomorrow afternoon. The events of the day jire the Flatlands Stakes, at flye and a half furlongs, for "two-year-olds, and the long established First Special, for three-year-olds and over, at u mile and a quarter, the names of the probable starters appearing in this Issue of the Daily Racing Form. For Tuesday the stake feature is the Bayshore, a selling dash over the "alMiut" six furlongs course, for three-year-olds and over. Such speedy sprinters as .Tacquin. Tom McGratb, Gloritier, Pythta, Wes. Rebo. Broadcloth, Arkllrta, Burleigh, Mintia, Shot Gun, Rusk, Columbia Girl, Hot Toddy, .Merry Lark, Inquisitor, Alencon, Ileaslip. Deutschhuid. Rye. Quadrille and Jacobite arc in this and, with owners having the privilege of allotting the weights, a decidedly interesting race appears to lx assured. The Hitchcock Steeplechase at abontjtwo miles and a half, is the stake for Wednesday. John M. P., MacUey Ihvycr, Alfar, Kernel. Phil May, Delcanta. Pirate, Joldtlenr. Grandpa, Hylas. Phantom, Paul Jones. Balzac, Coligny and El Cuchillo appear best in this. Thursday will bring about the decision of the Occanview Handicap, for three-year-olds. It is at a mile and a sixteenth. AVith Tiptoe, Nealon, Dr. Gardner. Sir Huon, Inquisitor, Running Water, Cou tent, Halifax, Good Luck. Fine Cloth. Brookdale Nymph. Gallavaut, Entree, Flip Flap, Hot Toddy, Lady Navarre, James Itcddick, Security, Guiding Star, Ileaslip and Belgravla among the nominations it appears that handipcapper Vosburgh has an opportunity to bring about a race of extraordinary interest here if he succeeds in assigning weights that appear satisfactory to the owners concerned. The Willow Handicap, for two-year-old fillies, at live and a furlongs, will be run Friday. Kiilaloe, Pope Joan, Mentha, Jersey. Lady, Keunyetto. Clare Russell, Altuda, Kliliecrankie, Adoration, Victoria B., Clara Huron, Yankee Girl, Glamor, Hyperbole and Dulcinea appear to be the pick of the nominations. Saturday will be one of the banner days of the meeting with the rich Junior Champion Stakes and the Second Special down for decision. The Junior Champion is decided over the "about" six fur-"ongs course, and it is understood that in it Water Pearl is to return to active racing. He has been working satisfactorily of late and if lie retains his brilliant speed will be a formidable contender. Opposed to him will probably be Salvidere. De Mund, Peter Ian, Ballot. Oran, Yankee Gun. DInna Ken, Prince Hampton, Paumonok and Don Enrique. With ten stnrters the race will be worth 3,975 to the winner, so it can be readily Inferred that owners concerned will be justified- in viewing the result sollcltiously. The Second I Special is a dash of a mile and n half, at five Vounds below the scale, except that the winner of " the First Special must curry scale weight if he starts. Accountant, Dishabille. Peter Sterling, Go Between, Tangle, Sir Huon, Running Water, Content. Dr. Gardner, Flip Flap, Logistilla Entree and Eugenia Burch are among the good ones eligible to start.
