FIRE THREATENS LATONIA RACE COURSE. Covington, Ky.. September 15. The grain elevator of Henry Hoile Sons and Co., near the Latohla racetrack was destroyed by fire this morning. The flames spread to the fence around the track and from there to outbuildings, threatening the destruction of the famous plant, at which a number of thoroughbreds arc- stabled. Covington sent assistance to save the track and protect the town. The stable of W. V. Conran was burned, but the horses were not injured. The loss Is estimated at 5,000.
