Pioneer never had a chance at any stage, but showed improvement. Jimmy Lane went well until carried sharply to the outside, where he ceased to be a contender. John M. P. was going easily and trailing . Balzac when he fell at the Liverpool when beginning the last three-quarters and appeared a sure winner when he fell. Scratched 645912Agent, 13C.
