Diamond followed La Gloria closely and was waited with until straightened out in the homestretch before making his run then finished fast and was well in hand at the eud. Cloten was outrun for the first half, but finished resolutely and was slowly gaining on the winner in the last furlong. Miss Leeds ran a good raee. but was outclassed by the first two. La Gloria showed the most early speed, but quit when Diamond made his challenge on the stretch turn. Massive ran a good race. Boola at once rushed away from her competitors with a brilliant burst of speed and opened up a winning lead in the first quarter, held it and was tiring at the end, but finished gamely. Glimmer lost ground by making a wide turn when entering the homestretch, but outstayed Laura A. in the final drive. Laura A. was under a drive from the turn into the homestretch to the finish, took the short. route and saved ground all the way. Al Powell and Hazel Patch showed speed, but tired in the stretch. Thistle Do was outrun for the first six furlongs and trailed along In the rear until straightened out to the final run, then came on with a rush after making a wide turn into the homestretch and outstayed Reservation in a furious drive. Reservation raced forwardly throughout and carried Request and Exclamation along at a clip that made them tire, but sulked when Thistle Do caught him. Request ran a good ra?e and outgamed Will King for third place. The latter finished well and should Improve by this race. Ben-volio ran a dull race. Wexford ran a good, game race, ran under restraint until well around the far turn, where he moved up fast and came to the outside when entering the homestretch and swerved across to the Inside in the stretch run and interfered with Solon Shingle, for which he was disqualified. Solon Shingle ran well all the way and saved ground on the turn Into the homestretch, but waa beaten when Wexford interfered with him. Alma Dufour was In a pocket until straightened out for the final run and finished with a rush. His weight told on Inferno when it came to a drive. Loupania set a hot pace "for over a mile, then tired badlyt Moonraker also went well for a mile. Sugar King ran a smart race, but tired In the last fifty yards. John, OGrady was hard ridden through the last turn of the field in an effort to get to the leaders and was tiring at the "end. Wool Dealer was eased up in the last quarter. Buffer was going easily, when he bolted out of the course at the tenth jump. Blue Buck at once rushed to the front and set a fast pace, but the effort told on him in the last f urlong and he tired. Birmingham ran in improved form, but found the route too far, took the short route and saved ground on every turn. Water Pansy ran fairly well and can do better. Billy Benzlng finished close un.
