Comedienne broke in the rear, but rushed through next to the rail with amazing speed and, challenging Itoseben on the last turn, beat him out decisively in the stretch, showing remarkable form. Roseoen set a terrific pace, but tired after a long and gruelling closing struggle, putting up a splendid effort. Water-grass was outpaced early, but finished with a sizzling stretch sprint and Is very good. Hahdzarra tired right at the end after strenuous early pursuit of the leaders and probably was short. Prince Hambunr was always outpaced and is in very poor form. Phantom was sent along early to set the pace and, keeping a long lead, held his opposition safe throughout. Jimmy Lane always maintained a position within striking distance of the winner and challenged him fruitlessly when beginning the last mile, putting up a good race for him. Colignv. after trailing far in the rear, got up with a rush for third place. Yama Christy loomed up well in the last half, but lired right at the end and may have been short. The paec was too fast for Pete Dalley. Balzac was very unruly and ran an erratic course, pulled hard and fenced badly, making a very poor showimr. Scratched 6470S John M. Frank Lord, from a Hying start, won all the way, decisively outpaced and outstayed the others and was best. Oraculum broke well on the Inside and at once got into close and game, but unavailing, pursuit of the winner and was a lucky second. Blondy, away slowly on the inside, steadily improved his position and barely lost second place under a weak ride. Tileing showed Ills usual superior early speed, but failed to stay. Mexican Silver ran forwardly for five furlongs and may have been short. Gallant Dan showed early speed, but failed to stay. Clements, away badly, closed a big gap. Mortlboy is a mudlark. Ostrich was skillfully reserved in behind the front division to the last turn, where he dashed into the lead when called upon and won as his rider pleased. Angler set the early pace by a small margin and, after being shullled back at the half, came again and earned a lucky second place. Cederstrome. after trailing too far off, closed up with a belated end rush and just failed to get up for second place. Eugenia Burch ran forwardly for a mile and a sixteentli and tired as if short, but is very good. Kapld Water showed brilliant speed for a mile, but failed to stay. Scratched 64745 Red Friar, 103. Baringo, away badly, closed up quickly and, finishing like a cyclone, just failed to get up for second place. Sea Salt got away slowly and ran prominently all the way, but could never quite get up. Jennie Weils went well. Qualify is worth remembering and finished close up. Kllliecrankie had no chance at the start and finished pulled up. Woolwich, always in close pursuit of the winner, was badly messed about in the stretch,where he finished going fairly well and is good again. Society Bud showed much speed, but failed to stay.
