Oxnard and she will be retired to the Blue Ridge Farm In Virginia. fTn the spring she will be bred to Islington. It is said the price paid for the daughter of Golden Garter and Rosebud was ,000. "She was the best mare I ever trained," said Mr. Jennings after he had sold Dainty. "She was better than either Briar Sweet or Proper. She .on Id run a swift half mile with sprinters, and she has shown eastern crowds time and again, that no distance daunted her. I am sure she will make good at Mr. Oxnards place, and I expect to buy her foals if Mr. Oxnard sells them. I hope he will mate her with his best stallion."
