Huggins. Went to post at 2:31. At post 3 minutes. Start good.- Won easily; second driving; third the same. Firebrand, from a striding start, forged to the front on the Inside and led the others to the end without much urging. Optician maintained a forward position throughout, but finished tiring. Prince Frederick, away very badly, worked through rapidly, closing a big gap and coming at the end with a rush and probably was best. Listless finished well after holding a good position in the early running. Slickaway showed plenty of speed for the first half but unexpectedly failed to stay. Sir Caruthers commenced to lose ground after going the first quarter and quit badly at the end. GIvonni Balerlo quit badly after early prominence. Markie Mayer, nearly left, closed a big gap and Is worth remembering. Bertha E. was off badly and shuffled back. Mintia was pocketed and unlucky. In the. second circuit, could never get hp after a remarkably game effort and nulled up lame. Grandpa, probably short, was" a prominent contender throughout and might have won with a capable rider. Running Water suffered from crowding at the start and was reserved too far in the rear and too lon and, iu a dazzling quarter mile end sprint, failed to get up. God Luck held on In a good rearward position and closed up rapidly iu the last half. Fine Cloth was reserved in close pursuit of the winner from the start and tired slightly right at the end. Cederstronie ran forwardly and gamely throughout. Ttue Wing tired after a mile of strenuous and close pursuit of the leaders. Dishabille, outpaced apparently in the, early running, closed up well iu the last half. Ostrich got away very badly and was never dangerous. Cottontown quit at the end of six furlongs. Meddling Daisy steadily improved her position from an indifferent start and ran a good. race. Sonoma Belle, away badly and very sore and unfit, closed a big gap. Taunt, from a good start, maintained close and persistent pursuit of Landsman to the stretch, ivhes-e she wore him down after a long cloving struggle. Rappahannock, Under pressure and outpaced in the early running, closed up with a rush in the sttetch, but through boring out at the end just failed to get up. Landsman outbroke and outpaced the others to the stretch, where he soon commenced to tire. Troublemaker ran forwardly for live furlongs and tired. Cambyses finished well up after getting away poorly. Xnrelle is very moderate and was unable to hold her position under pressure. Al II. Woods finished like a cyclone after getting away badly and is a good looker. Overweights Coinmunlpaw, 1 pound.
