JAMAICA STAKE ENTRIES. Saturday next will bring about the termination of the last of the greater New York meetings. Then the two minor meetings, those at the Jamaica and Aqueduct tracks will follow in order. The Jamaica meeting begins October 22. The stakes to be run in the course of the meeting closed September 20, with the following numbers of entries: Plerrepont Handicap, all ages; 1 1-8 miles 38 Southold Handicap, all ages; 1 1-16 miles ....... 45 Richmond Handicap, all ages; 3-4 mile ....SS Garden City Stakes, three-year-olds and over; 1 1-16 miles . . . . . ... , ......... 35 GowanuS Stakes, three:year-old8 and" over; 3-4 mile 33 Southampton Handicap, 3-year-olds; 1 1-16 miles. 28 Ravenswood Handicap, three-year;olds; 3-4 mile.. 32 Sayville Stakes, three-year-olds: 1 1-16 miles.... 24 Lynbrook Handicap, two-year-olds; 3-4 mile 43 Remsen Handicap, two-year-olds; 5 1-2 furlongs.. 38 Hempstead Stakes, two-year-olds: 3-4 mile 43 Packer Stakes, two-year-olds, fillies; 5 1-2 furlongs 29 The entries to these stakes are almost all of horses now actively in training, are ready to race when opportunity offers, so there is little probability of good fields being lacking. As is always the case, many of the stars of the greater, tracks will be absent, but good racers in abundance will, be in action, such tried performers as Dr. Gardner, Dishabille, Bad News, Belmere, Graziallo, Neva Lee, Nealou, Miss Crawford, Ginette, Grapple, Bedouiu, Hot Toddy, Coy Maid, Ostrich, Oxford, Inquisitor, Running Water, Angler, Cairngorm, Good Luck, Ormondes Right, Martin Doyle, Brookdale Nymph, Ironsides, Dolly Spanker, Gallavant, Wes, Roseben, Jacquin, Nannie Hodge, Keator, Pantoulle, Botanist. Montgomery, Tourenne, Monet, Grenade, Frank Gill, Lotus, Pinkerton, Rye, Frank Lord, Jacobite, Eddie Ware, Halifax, Diamond, Handzarra, Prince Hamburg, Ed Ball, Red Friar, Anneta Lady, Garnish, Samuel H. Harris, Onatas, Runnels, Peter Sterling, Arklirta, Zlenap, Belle of Pequest, Lleber, Gold Lady, Rosemount, Okenlte, Don Enrique, Theyre Off, W. H. Daniel, Fantastic, Ellicott, McCarter, Clare Russell, Adoration and many others of note being in the various events and sufficing to assure racing up to the standard of the most exacting.
