MANUFACTURERS OPPOSE POOLROOMS. Covington, Ky.. October 12. The Manufacturers Association has taken a stand against poolrooms and yesterday passed the following resolution: "A poolroom has iccently been started on Second street, in violation of the law, and as this room, if tolerated, Is likely to be followed by others, we, the Manufacturers Association, demand that it be suppressed, and that in the future these rooms be strictly prohibited from running in the city of Gov-! iugtonaiid county of Kenton. "PoOlroomu have been of incalculable injury to Covington. They have given the city a bad reputation all orer the country and exercised a baneful influence on its political, social and business life.
