There is .a , movement on foot by the turf authorities, of this state to engage two competent men who are familiar with the most potent strain of blood in thoroughbreds the various families that have proved most successful as-the progenitors, of speed, endurance, bone and substance to Instruct the farmers of New York state the best and most , profitable way to breed-horses. The plan now under consideration is to send two veterinary surgeons throughout the breeding districts and by means of illustrated lectures to show the farmers the best stallions to breed their cold-blooded mares to. . -
