WILL ALLOW MRS. BERGEN 0 PER MONTH. New York, Octolwr 27. Mrs. Marty Bergen, widow of the once-noted Jockey, has been notified by iljq Jockey . Club stewards that they will allow her 0 a month- for six months. This money will come aut of the fund for disabled jockeys, much of which at least 0,000 came from her husband, who paid .many large lines to the various racing associations during the years he was prominent as a rider. The racing rules do not provide for any such case as that of Mrs. Bergen, who was left in destitute condition by the sudden death of her husband. The action of the Jockey Club stewards vas therefore all the more commendable. The amount, small as it is, will help materially to yrry her over tho winter. By the time spring wrnes round, she will have a chance to make proper provision for herself and children. The allowance to jockey Fuller is 25 per mouth for ope year, Instead of 00 per month as was published.
