TARANTELLAS FAME AS A MATRON. Lexington, Ky., October 27. Lady Tarantella, which -got out of the maiden division at Brighton Beach October 3, Is the tenth winner produced by Tarantella, she also being the dam of Pentecost, Handsel, Penury, Souchon, La Creole, Sandpiper, Gulden, Fontanelle and Lubin. Five of her produce aro stake winners and all by different sires. Tarantella ia twenty-oue years old, but is still bale and utfnrty at Hamburg Place. There ia a cbeetnut yvnrllng colt out of her by Plaudit at Hamburg Place and also a weanling chestnut colt by the Futurity winner Yankee.. She was mated to Ogden, inotber Futurity winner last spring. Tarantella vms sent to this country when a yearling by Alfred Withers, of London, and Dr. J. W. Neet bought tier for 00. She never raced. Dr. Neet sold her to J. E. Madden after she had dropped her first jiUid winners.
