Cincinnati, O., November 10. It Is doubtful it the race-going public experienced a more dlsastroua day previously during the current meet thanN they stacked up against this afternoon Not alone did the favorites lose nearly all the races, but second choices and supposed strong contenders met the same fate. The exception was in the fifth race when Toboggan and Auditor fought it out hard and the Streett sprinter scored his fourth successive victory during the meeting. He was a slight favor-ite near the end over Auditor. The defeat of Dr. Leggo In the handicap by Shaw-ana was due mainly to a mishap that befell the, McCafferty crack shortly after the start and it also settled effectively the chances of Miss LIda getting any part of the purse. Dr. Leggo stumbled soon after the start and to keep from going down " Mountain, his rider, took him up short when he tried to right him. The horse jumped on Miss LIda almost throwing her and himself. The mishap caused both horses to be far In the rear while rounding the first turn, whereas Sbawana had clear sailing and raced Into a long lead, which she maintained all the way. Dr. Leggo ran a game race and closed a big gap, but was unable to overhaul the winner. ucky Charm added to the long list of long-shot winners here by scoring in the second race at 60 to 1.
