"UNCLE BOB" IS DEAD. Robert Green, better known as "Uncle Bob," died at Nashville, Friday morning. He was stud groom at Belle Meade when that famous breeding farm was second to none in the United States. "Uncle Bob" was born at Belle Meade and for seyenty-five years was a familiar figure about the place. He had charge of all the famous horses that stood there and it was upon his advicer that many a champion performer was purchased by turfmen at Belle Meade sales. The American Derby winner Uncle Bob was named for him.
