BELIEVES IN BEAUTIFUL BESS. Lexington, Ky., November 10. Trainer William Phillips believes he will have a great four-year-old filly next season In Beautiful Bess. It is said her long rest has brought her back to her early two-year-old form and he expects to win many races with her in 1907. Her dam has a fine weanling by Ruskin this year. A. E. Hundley, its owner, wanted to trade it with a cash bonus for Beautiful Bess when the latters racing days are over. Fred Cook could not see things that way, as he desires to keep the daughter of Top Gallant for his western stud, at which the great racer English Lad, is tQ be the leading stalllon.
