COOKS YEARLINGS SENT TO MEMPHIS. Lexington, Ky., November 17. Fred Cooks sixteen yearlings which Charles Dodson broke and trained here for the bookmaker have been shipped to Memphis to be eared for during the winter by the colored trainer Lee Christy. Some of them may be raced in California late in February and early in March by the regular trainer of Cooks horses, Bill Phillips. . On their work; Jiere the most promising are two colts by Ben Strome, a colt by LIssak, a half brother to Glenecko, by Sempronlus, a half brother to Columbia Girl, by The Commoner, a brother to Jack Young and a filly by The Commoner. Cook has about 0,000 tied up ,in yearlings this year. Phillips bought most of them at private sale.
