WASHOUTS HOLD TURFMEN AT MEMPHIS. Memphis, Tenn., November .23. Owing to washouts on the railroads out of Memphis to New Orleans, many turfmen who expected to reach the Crescent City for the opening race tomorrow afternoon are tied up here. Jockey Willie McGee, who will ride for G. C. Bennett and Co., and Terry Feicht, who has been engaged to do O. R. Ellisons riding, left this afternoon. They may get through without delay.
