ANOTHER POOLROOM AT NEWPORT. Cincinnati, O., November 23. William T. Shannon proposes to open a poolroom in the suburbs of Newport, Ky., and In opposition to that at Hubers Garden. For some time there has been talk to the effect that the Covington contingent, barred out of Covington, would carry the war Into Campbell County. These rumors were strengthened yesterday, when two deeds were filed in the Campbell County Court. By the terms of these deeds John Shannon, for the sum of 00, becomes tbe owner of a lot just north of the tollgate, near Hubers Garden, on the Alexandria pike, just outside of the city llmlts of Newport, on the east side of the pike. The property formerly belonged to Fred and Elizabeth Schuerman. They transferred It to ex-Circuit Judge John T. Hodge, who will represent the Covington crowd, and lie in turn transferred the tract to Shannon.
