CONDENSED HISTORY OF THE INAUGURAL HANDICAP. From its institution until this year the Inaugural Handicap was always run on Thanksgiving day. It has always been marked by good racing and the winners have been sprinters capable of holding their own anywhere. It is noticeable that W. J. Deboe was the only lightly weighted horse that ever won it. The speedy horse Sevoy won it twice and in 1904 Floral King took the champion of today, Roseben. into camp. Good horse as Rams Horn was, he could only run third In two attempts to win the Inaugural. The record of the race Is as follows: ; Year. First. Age. Jockeys. Wt. Second. Age. Wt. Third. Age. Wt. Val.
