Judge, from a striding start, forced the early pace and, drawing clear at the half; was never menaced afterwards. E. JL Brattaih broke from a standing start, but quickly took up close pursuit of the winner and gamely earned a good second place. Jake Ward, from a good start, essayed to head the favorite, but tired in the last quarter in consequence and was a lucky third. Comllfo closed a big gap In, the last half and should Improve. Tim Hurst steadily improved his position from a rear send-off. Yo San showed early sneed and probably was short. Nettle Hicks was shut off at the start and had no chance afterwards. Golden Rule set the pace nractieally from the start and drew out in the stretch to win with plenty to spare and Is in very good form. Minio was close .up early, but dropped back on the last turn, then moved up and finished fast. Marie II. ran in prominent contention for a half, but finally tired under her big weight. Sacredus, away slowly, brought up the rear to the last furlong. wherelie closed up like n shot, was short and will do better. Doctor Rowell failed to stay after showing superior early speed. Como set a stiff pace and only succumbed in the last stride of a superior effort. SL Elmwood broke and ran green, went wide on the turns aiid swerved to the inside in the stretch and will reverse this running later on. F. Neugent, away badly. Closed a big gap and is very promising. Joe Harlan was outpaced, but held on well. Kriika slipped back at the start and made up ground in the last half. Cbmbury showed superior early speed. Collector Jessuy helped to force a terrific pace, was carried wide by Olotidlight aud lost several lengths, but gamely saved second place and is in fine form. Cloudlight set :ind forced a tremendous pace, but through bearing out on the turns carried the favorite with him and tired in the last furlong. Woolma, probably short, came along leisurely at the end ami is a grand looker that will pay to watch. Roliert Mitchell showed early speed, but tired in the last quarter. Fisher Boy dropped back in the early running, then closed up rapidly on the far turn and challenged in the stretch, but was badlv messed about at the finish. Petit Due made the" running to the final sixteenth, where his rider lost his lines and nearly fell off. Ed Sheridan, badly outpaced for the first six furlongs, closed up well at the end and probably was short. Salable showed early speed, but failed to stay and is short.
