Tavora, from a flying start, set the pace throughout and scored a lucky win under a skillful ride. Avon-alls ran in nearest pursuit of. the winner all the way and just failed to get up under a poor ride. Santa Ray, away slowly, closed up rapidly into a fast coming third and put up a cracking effort. Southern Lady held on well all the way, but was outclassed. Get-rich-quick finished well. M. forged steadily to the front and stood a long and game stretch drive to win. Yellowstone improved his posltlou from the start and finished with a rush. Sharp Boy set the early pace, running on ilu Jnside. and tired as if short. Peter J. was a forward contender, but tired after goiug five furlongs. Meada suffered from crowding at the start, but ran well and should improve. Libervale held his own for live furlongs. .St. Wiuifride was anchored by the mud. Dr. Itovrcll showed early speed. Fred Mulholland, from a flying start, showed early speed, but failed to stay. F. Xeugont, away very badly, closed a big gap. Trapsetter showed early speed and itrohahlv was short. Chablis finished well. Bonar, nearly left, closed a big gap. Water Cure disliked the going. "Little Joker bolted on the first turn.
