Judge Burroughs, probably best, was taken wide 011 the stretch turn and, finishing with a rush, would have won in another stride. Gold Circle ran well, but was In close quarters in the last furlong and, with clear sailing, might have won. Elixir ran fairly well and had no mishaps. Miss Ferris, away running and well handled, forced the pace in the early stages and, taking the lead, stayed well in the final drive and won with something left. Pulque suffered from slight interference, but finished fast and was going gamely at the end. Verdant was a sharp factor most of the way and finished fast. Pinsticker closed a big gap in the stretch. Balshot finished close up. Cut Glass had a rough trip and was away poorly. Stoic was off poorly, ran a bad race and pulled up lame.
