KEENE GETS NICOL AND WANTS LEE. Owner of Superman and Kurokl Wires for Riders in the Suburban Handicap. Buffalo, N. Y., June 18. Jockey Nicol has accepted James R. Kecncs offer of the mount on one of his colts iu the Suburban Handicap. He will leave for New York tomorrow and will remain over at Sheepshead Bay until Saturday to ride one of Mr. Kceues two-year-olds iu the Foam Stakes. Nicol was offered the mount on both Montgomery and Electioneer in the Suburban, but was forced to refuse them lecause he could not do the weight. Cincinnati, O., June 18. Dc Courcey Forbes, acting for J. R. Keene, telegraphed for the services of" J. LcCtor-pilot one of the Keene start-era in the Suburban Handicap. The terms, ,500, on which the Respess rider would accept the mount was telegraphed to Mr. Forbes. No reply had been received up to a late hour. "William. Lakeland also sought the services of J. Lee to pilot Electioneer in the Suburban.
