Joe Moser, away fast and showing a high flight of speed, dashed Into a long lead at once, was only cantering through the stretch and is evidently a good colt. Gracious Dame ran sluggishly in the early stages, hut saved ground when coming into the stretch aud linished resolutely. Stoneman ran forwardly from the start and fought it out gamely through the last furlong. Albert Fanz was prominent most of the way audi will improve. Major Mack went wide most of the way and is not of much account. Hugh .Farrell ram fairly well. High Binder ran poorly and suffered from interference. Increased his advantage lu the stretch and won cantering. Haughty, away slowly and poorly handled, moved into contention wltlt a rush, but tired near the end and had to be ridden out to retain second place. Careless ran a good race and was prominent all the way. l.raden, also away slowly and taken wide most of the trip, closed a gap and finished well. Harold D. lacked sliced and is evidently In poor form. A stirrup broke on Wedgwoo,! and he ran far below his best form. The winner wa entered for ; no bid. Marseilles moved up gradually from a slow beginning and, wearing down Red Thistle 011 the stretclj, turn, came away and won with plenty in reserve. Water Lake, standing a bard drive, finished gamely and took second place in the closing strides. Gold Spray was prominent most of the way and put up a good performance. Red Thistle, clear of interference, showed the most sliced for the first half, but tired in the stretch drive. Shawana ran a good race and is showing steady improvement. Monochord quit in he last quarter. Griffith acted as if afraid of Clyde and began taking him back and out of the running after going a half. W. K. John Dillon made the running in the early stages, but pecked and blundered at several of the obstacles and quit badly in the stretch run. Class Leader was a distant trailer nearly all the way, but closed a big gap in the last round of the field. Graceland ran fairly well to thi stretch hurdle, where he fell. Potash fenced well and showed speed to the last hedge, where she blundered and fell and would have won but for the mishap. Dell Leath fell at the fourth fence while a sharp factor. . Prince Ahmed, much the best, was jioorly ridden and kept far back for the first half, then moved up with a great rush and finished gaining on the winner. Frontenac showed the most early speed but, under excessive urging, tired badly after going a half aud went wide into the stretch. The Clansman ran fairly well.
